i see that old guy roland martin popping up on this site
you know he was a guide on santee cooper and about starved to death until bobby george showed him how to fish, he was in the army and was stationed at fort jackson sc.
roland made a show and used bobby george as his guide, well roland couldn't catch the largemouths in the canal between the two lakes, so he had bobby catch them , then he would put them on his hooks and act like he was catching them lol
now bobby george is dead, but he never lied to anyone so i believe what he said
just a story we hear over here

Whatever it takes man. Somebody has to teach everyone how to fish. It's almost as much fun, if not more so, than fishing itself. Ole Roland must have been a pretty good student!

Well everybody is not as luck as you eagleclaw, and was just born knowing how. I hear all this hooplaw about different guides or people using all kinds of gimmicks and such. Funny it always seems to be the high profile TV stars and people who make a living fishing that get talked about the worst. I chalk it off as just jealousy from someone who can't make it on TV or fishing for a living.
Anyone who thinks fishing for a living is easy never tried it.
