Any Coleto Creek Catfishing Tips for this weekend?

My family and some neighbors will be fishing Coleto Creek this weekend. We'll be setting out jugs and trying some rod and reel fishing. I have a bucket of soured maize ready to go. I assume the fish are shallow this time of year? What kinds of bait have y'all had luck with? Any areas I should concentrate on? Thanks for any help in advance.

It's been years, but we used to fish back by the power plant. We'd tie up to the float line there and fish on the inside of it. We'd use bobs blood bait, which looked like coagulated blood with some chicken feathers mixed in. That was gross stuff.

PS: They don't like you tying up to the float line. They used to just come out and tell us to move off of it, nowadays they'd prolly call the GW on you.
