Livingston White Bass Schooling

Saturday afternoon I brought the gang out to do some jug fishing. Hadn't had much luck fishing for white bass, but we had caught a few earlier. So we put out about 15 jugs and I told the gang lets try some white bass fishing. Sure enough as soon as the lure hit the water the fish hit it. Then the white bass started schooling all around us. Its been awhile since I ve seen the white bass pop the water like that. They schooled around us for about 2 hours. We had fish flying all over the boat. We left as it got dark but the fish where still biting. We ended up with 50 fish. What a blast!

the jugs didn't do to good.....the cat I am holding was one that we caught when we first put out the jugs.....as we were catching the white bass another jugs started bobbing. And it was a good size one. Let's say ole captain Ken was having a bad day......long story....but as I reached the jug my new crew member (inexperienced) grabbed the jug with catfish to proudly display it for all the world to see except he forgot what I tell people all the time, " bring the fish over the boat"....yep plop goes the fish back into the water....I just sat there shaking my head....

Nice catch. My fishing buddy in Cape Royale just called and said he can't buy a white bass bite right now. Fished an hour last weekend and nothing.

Nice catch/report BEC, my buddy 'Ol-lungbuster' and I were there Saturday afternoon also. We hammerd the fish late evening before dark (22 total) we had to make ourselves quit fishing as it got dark. Many small ones hook/released. Next time we're taking his kids

surf...The white bass started schooling at the gazbo..or what use to be Frank's marina. Yea, this year has been alot better. Last year I couldnt find the white bass for nothing. Maybe once or twice did I find them last year and this year I have caught enough already to make me happy.
And I know the feeling bowhrt...just one more cast and thats it....ok got another one....ok one more cast and thats it......I can clean about 50 fish in 1 hour. Got it down to a scientific art. And finally figured out what was wrong with my electric filet knife...only one blade was moving....seems I ve got several electric knives like that. Found one that worked and I was flying through fish cleaning them.
