I dont mean to "contaminate" the catfish board with ole bass stuff, but there is a catfish report at the end! LOL
I went up and spent a few days with my buddy that has a place on L Palestine. We started Wednesday morning plugging a little cove for black bass, and caught a bunch of little ones....several about 2" long!! Must have already spawned last month? While plugging...saw some white bass working a point...ran over and put 21 in the boat plus some throwbackson little georges. Tried the rest of morning for catfish....only 2 in 4' to 12' water.
Next morning went back to cove...few black bass, but lo and behold...our white bass were back on the point. 20 keepers on little georges. 3 catfish the rest of the day.
Next morning...back to cove....same song, same verse....only 12 this morining tho....fished for a while with ultralites and jigs and roostertails and got 2 whiteperch, and several large perch on artis....wind came up and went back to house for late breakfast at 8:30.
Sat morning...dedicated to catfish....nada in the 4' to 12' depths....finally found them in 21' water. 19 keepers with 6 or 7 blues about 3#. Danny King.
Lots of fun and good company!! The rum on the front poarch looking at the lake was pretty good too!!
