Going to take my fiance and boat to Gibbons or Somerville this weekend. Hopefully we can catch some catfish to fry up.
Does anyone have any good advice on where abouts to fish. Im not trying to steal any honey holes, just what i should look for in a good place to catch fish.
We have fished Gibbons before with no luck but since its much closer to College Station I prefer it.
Thanks in advance

SOMERVILLE is great for cats on shad or what ever bait you use the bite is good right now on the lake close to the bank 4 to 6 feet.good luck JWCOOP

Gibbons will be better on the weekend, 20 mph winds next two days will hve shad on the bank. Somerville is good like Kim just said, shallow water, close to bank, use shad or SureShot punch bait. Early morning is best. Godo Luck

Thanks for all the input, we managed enough keepers so that we had plenty to eat a few more left over. The trees right across from the boat ramp are where we caught most of them around 10 ft depth. We used Danny Kings punch bait (Garlic and Blood) because my SureShot hasnt arrived yet. Hopefully we can get back out there soon.
Thanks again for helping me out
