fish the windblown points n shorelines..The fish are chasin Shad now...
anywhere south of the Train Trestle
Thanks Oxbow. I live in Huffman, so I planned to put in north of the tracks, but if you say they are on the south side, I'll head that way to put in. Is there plenty of shad or will I have to hunt for them?

You should be able to find all the shad you need along the 1960 bridge, I had heard the marina at 1960 was charging 10$ for a launch.

yes,, lake houston marina is charging $10 to launch.... other spot are Duessen park(free), the ponderosa on Lucies($5), and BJ's on the east fork($5)... there are always shad early of the points and around the docks up as you enter the west fork
cats are trying to go shallow,, give it a few more weeks or bait a hole... MAY June it will be on.
LOL,, OX , you have never fished south of the tracks... rotfl
Yea they charged me $10 just to drive through and check out the ramp.....crazy. I wiil use BJ's if I stay on the north side. My 14 year old son and I are going to give it a shot saturday. I'll let you guys know how we did (hopefully good, I need a good day, its been a while)
