Part 1 Done

Went thru the class room and pool part of the course to get my Open Water cert. Then next weekend we are off to do our open water. My dad wasn't too sure about learning when I asked him but after playing in the pool he seemed like he is pumped and ready to get in the big water.

have fun at Aquarena...one place I never got to dive, but would love to go there.

I took my course in Lake Jackson at Hydrosport from Mike Cryer. I have only heard great things about him and was very personal.

if that's the Mike I'm thinking of he's a helluva spearfisher too.

That is probably the same Mike. I was talking to him last night and he said that him and is son spear many snapper and grouper each year.

Mike Cryer at Hydro sports and his son Jake are defiantly to very good spear fishermen. There are several state records between them. I think that there might be a national record also. Hydro sports is definitely a spear fishing friendly shop.
