Do the Pump Type Oil Extractors work? Looks like it would make oil changing a cleaner job! I'm looking at the Pele Pro at BoatersWorld.

I have a hand pump I bought at the marine store. It "works" thats all I'll say for it. An electric would be better, but both work better if you run the engines awhile to warm up the oil.

When I had my big boat with 3208 Cats I had a machine shop make fitting for the crankcase drains and plumbed the lines to a mainfold with brass ball valves. With a series of quick connects I could pump, old oil out of the motors and the transmissions and new oil and/or tansmission fluid back in. Would pump out and back into 5 gal buckets. Could do it with white gloves on and never got dirty. I was in trucking business back then before I retired and basicly used truck air line manifold and hoses. Bet the whole thing did not cost over $200 and it made everything else on the market look like junk.

I have one that came from Boatersworld.. 9 quart model that works great.. You get it pumping and it works on auto basically... Used it once for the boat, and used it on my cars too..
