A ranch friend of mine is now a state trooper down around Rocksprings, Tx. There is a bar down there that only opens during deer season and it is always packed during opening weekend from hunters who have made it out there. Well my state trooper buddy posted up on top of this hill waiting for someone to leave who had too much to drink. He told me there were cars all over the place and no one was leaving the bar. They all must of been having a great time sharing stories. He told me that a man left the bar and made his way toward his truck around 1:40 am, just 20 minutes before the bar closed. This guy came out tripping all over himself. It took him ten minutes to find his car alone and this was not a big parking lot by any means. Once the man finally got to his truck he could not get his keys into the door for anything. He kept dropping them and falling into the side of his truck. Finally after a few more minutes he got into the front seat of his truck and started it up. But he did not leave. My trooper friend was dead set on pulling him over because of the dangers he was capable of causing on the road. Anyways, time roles by and others start to leave the bar. My trooper friend continues to wait and by 2:10 am his truck is the only one left at the bar. Just as my buddy started to make his way down to the truck it pulls out of the parking lot. My trooper friend pulls him over a minute or two later and he asked the man how much he had to drink. The man responded that he had not had anything to drink, but the trooper was not buying it. My trooper buddy gave him all sorts of drunk test but he passed them all. Finally, the trooper asked him, "I saw you come out of the bar all sorts of drunk. How did you sober up all the way?" The man replied with a slight grin on his face. I told you I didn't have anything to drink tonight, I was designated decoy.
