We went to watch our grandaughter sing last night at the church Christmas program.
Since my new lens didn't get delivered, I had to adjust and use a different lens (70-200 f/2.8 with a 1.4x teleconverter attached). That gave me a max of 280mm at f/4.
I mounted two Canon Speedlights on the balcony railing (one on each side) and fired them with my new set of Elinchrom Skyports (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/505381-REG/Elinchrom_19360_EL_Skyport_Universal_Radio_Slave.h tml) from the rear of the auditorium. Overall, the pictures turned out real well, better than I expected. This was the first time to actually use the remotes in real life so I was pretty nervous and only got to test fire them once each before the program started.
Here are a couple of the pics. The young lady on the left is our granddaughter. She's quiet an athlete and songstress.
