If any of you are Suzuki owners and are looking for parts. I found this place online and they have fairly good prices. After paying shipping and no sales tax, about 40% less than the local dealers quoted for the general maintenance parts. Filters, impellars, etc. Ordered yesterday and it shipped today. Will post again if it doesn't show up :+)

Just a follow up to my previous post. The Suzuki parts I ordered on Sunday were delivered on Friday.

Replaced water pump impellars, changed oil & filters, spark plugs, and lower unit grease on two DF115 4 strokes this weekend. About 4 hours if you don't stop for a Shiner or two.

Requested and received an email from a Suzuki dealer in the area confirming I can use synthetic crankcase oil with no warranty issues as long as I am at the 100 hour or above. Any advice or concerns on synthetics as I am considering them on the next oil change ?

I've used synthetic oil in three different brands of auto motors (Mercury, Ford truck, GM truck) and have given up on using synthetic oil. I used Mobil1, Pennzoil, and Castrol synthetics. They all caused a small oil leak, usually the valve cover or rear intake seal. Regular oil cured that issue. Just my experience, your mileage may be different.

I also have had bad luck with synthetic oil. on my old 350 in my chevy it leaked after I started using. On my ford it made the motor start to knock when it was cold starting. Went back to regular old oil 5w-30 and it stopped.

On a new engine synthetic oil should be no problem after break in. On an old engine, try a synthetic blend first. If no problems then go full synthetic.
