Getting started

Greetings,
I am wanting to get started in building my own spec and red fishing rods. I have never done this and was wondering what books/videos are the most helpful and imformative. Thanks for any advice in advance!!

the best videos that I have found are the ones that Artie Hebert put out. The first one is called
how to build custom rods step by step and the he has advanced custom rodbuilding and also videos on decrotive butt wraps and then one on weaving.
