The trotlines are up and the notes are in the notebook. Oh, let's not forget the fish that are in the cooler.

I had a great time on the north end of the lake this week-end. Thanks to Catzilla for the recomendation in fishing the jungle. The weather was great, although yesterday afternoon did get a little rough. The fish were biting and my favorite fishing partner(my wife) was with me most of the time.

I learned alot. Where the shad were in the morning and where they were in the evening. Also it looks like I might down size my hooks just a tad for the size fish I was catching. I really feel like I would have a higher percent catch using about a 3/0 hook.

I can't complain though. I still wound up with around twenty catfish in the perfect eating size range, 1-3 pounds.I know that isn't alot, to some peoples standards, but I am real happy with it.

I stopped by that Kickapoo bait and tackle and bought me some number 96 tarred twine and am going to build yet another trotline. I'm going to dial in on these cat's and put a hurting on them.

I'll have some pics to post when my wife get's back in a couple of hours. Until then, it's nap time. I can't wait til next week-end get's here.

I am glad you fished the Jungle. There is a lot of good fishing on the north end of the lake. If you like crappie fishing you can go up Caney Creek or White Rock Creek for crappie. And during the white bass run, you can catch your limit up White Rock Creek. Another plus is there are not too many jet skis and ski boats on the north end because of all the stumps. I am leaving for a couple of weeks vacation, but when I get back I will be heading for the lake.

y'all doing alot better than me....my fishing skills have left me this year....i put in at penwaugh...threw my cast net...landed about 50 small shad maybe second cast close to bulk head...ready to go....went placed my jug out twice...now only about 10 jugs makes it easier to grab them when I am ready to go.....caught a total of 0...yes thats Zero fish...but 100% sun rays....what the heck...I cleaned 0 fish too. My jugs are probably to shallow.....I keep saying I am going to put out some trotlines...I have some good places I have been eyeing....just to lazy...oh well it was pretty weather just to relax
