Is it necessary for cutbait to be fresh to be effective? A couple of neighboorhood kids bring me sunfish occasionally that they caught in a neighbor's pond, and I bag them and put them in a freezer while still alive and whole. I am planning to target some larger fish, and was wondering if they would still be ok for bait. It would save me the trouble of catching any when I go to fish.
