I've read that some owners are having issues with regeneration of the particulate filter but don't know how widespread that is.

5.9's are getting to be like gold. priceless.
The problems with the particulate filter has to do with the fuel their running.. Stick with ULSD and you shouldn't have any problems.
The problems with the a/c's were in '06. The a/c damper doors would come loose when you'd switch from low to high fan speeds. They have fixed that problem. So far i've got 5k on my rig and have had no problems. Only thing I'm worried about is the down shift from 2nd to 1st ger. It slams pretty good on my rig. Gonna see If they can fix it on my first oil change.. As of now the best hand calc on mileage is 16.7. That's with 35" bfg's so i figure you can add 10-12% to that over the stock dia.

I have an 04 dually and its great, the only problem i have encountered is that the driver side vents throw cold air and the passenger side vents throws hot air. My milage has been great also i get 19-20 at 70 MPH with the cruise on, it also depends on where you put diesel sometimes you get a bad batch. I also try to keep my air filter as clean as possible (K&N kit).
