I'd try peach creek.

I find it hard to believe no fish on Lake Conroe while fishing out of a boat. The catfish are everywhere. Get you some premo, dk, catfishkillers cheese bait, or worms and fish about a foot off the bottom at any stump, under the bridge or along caney or peach creek and you should catch catfish. To help chum with range cubes or soured milo, chichen scatch, corn or wheat.
