WOW!!
Are we tearing the channel cats up this weekend on trotlines.
Pour my cornchum that i mentioned on another thread, along
your trotline, limbline, etc. Every catfish we caught was full
of the stuff. Have fun!! We are!!

We were fishing a 40 acre watershed lake in central oklahoma.
We used "No Weight" on a 30 hook trotline in about 10-2 feet
of water. I cut a fillet from one side of a sunfish and put on the line,
then the same for the other side. What was left i put on the third hook.
I did this all the way down. I then sprinkled the catcorn chum along the whole
trotline. We checked and rebaited 3 times per night, from about 9-12.
Caught 3 channel cats in the 12lb. range. thats big for channels around here.
caught several smaller ones averaging about 5lbs. Cant wait till next weekend!!

Just wondering why you didn't use the hotdogs you put in the catcorn concoction??

the hotdogs work great, but dont stay on very well using the no weight method.
I had a few live sunfish on the trotline too. I was going after flatheads, but caught
only channels. If i had put some bricks or something for weight, then the hotdogs
would of been used. Thanks for the question!!
