Ford Warranty

Was so close to closing the deal on a 08 F-250 when i realized that the new diesels only have a 60,000 mile warranty on them. My deal is now on hold. When did they get rid of the 100,000 mile warranty. This makes me feel like FORD has no confidence on there new diesels..........kinda crappy if you ask me. Its got me thinkin bout a Dodge now!

You need to get a new sales person! Ford still offers 5yr 100000 on the engine (internal lubricated parts). The 5yr 60000 covers the rest of the power train (tranny, rear end, ect. ect.).

When it comes to buying cars, never believe any thing the sales guy tells you. They like to point out that the resevoirs for all the fluid are made of see through plastic so that you can see the level with out taking the cap off. That is the extent of most of their automotive knowledge...

If you go with the Dodge be sure and get an extended warranty on the rest of the truck, cause it will fall apart long before the Cummins exhausts the 100k warranty.
