Catfish are attracted to noise, as well as food. A really
monster catfish goes for live bait. Try a sunfish for bait
where legal. Put it so half its body is out of the water.
The noise the sunfish makes in the night will bring in the
catfish you have dreamed of catching. Many people put the
bait to deep when using this method.

When I was 8 or so,my father and I fished the rice canals around Arcola
Back then the willows hung over the water.We had a 14' flat bottom
and set a yo yo on one of the willow limbs reaching out over the water.
With a 3" perch just swimming on top.The next morning the bark was
peeled clean,and the yo yo gone.Sunfish work.
