Trailer tires wear

My trailer tires (duel axle trailer) are wearing on the inside on three of the four tires. They are two years old with less than 1200 miles and the boat I'm pulling weights 4000 lbs. Questions:

Is there anything I can do to stop the uneven wear?
What do you think is the cause?
If I need tires; what type do you suggest

Uneven tire wear is caused by:

alignment
underinflated
overinflated
overload

My guess would be alignment.

After looking them over the wear is on both the inside and outside. Of the four three are new last year and they are the ones that are show the wear on the inside and outside.
What do you think the issue is???

More information: Tire pressure is 32 psi. Due to a storm I the boat was full of gas (200 gals) and I pulled it 200 miles so the load is closer to 5000 lbs.

Underinflated. Look on the side of the tire. Betcha a beer or a buck it says 50 psi cold. If it says less, you have the wrong load size or tire type on your trailer.

50+ lbs is usualy inflation for trailer tires. 1200 miles is not alot for a tiler tire, I used to put on that many miles a month during the summer and my tires lasted for a couple of years.

Yes, you are right it is 50 psi so I will increase. They are worn on the sides, should I replace or will increasing the pressure stop the wear?

Watch your tires sometime while someone else backs up your rig and turns sharply. You'll see that tandem tires take a lot of abuse and undergo a lot of scuffing when you turn sharp. You can minimize wear by keeping them at max pressure, avoid turning sharply, and rotating them from front to back axle. Also, make sure your hitch ball is at the correct height so the trailer rides level which will even the wear between front and rear axles.
