I use range cubes, go to feed store and buy a big bag for $7.00, last for a couple of trips.

I use milo. fill a 5 gallon bucket somewhere betwen 1/2 and 2/3rd's full (this allows for the grain to swell) and cover with water about 2 inches. Get it in the sun and check every few days to see if water need to be added.

It should be decent in a few days but it will be prime in 2 weeks.

You'll know it works when you see them regurgitating it in your livewell after you catch them.

I believe any grain is going to be effective but I just chose milo.

I like to use corn. Fill 5 gal bucket 1/2 full. Pour in 1 of the old beers that have been rolling around in the bottom of the boat for a couple weeks and cover with water. Add lid and set in sun for 1-2 weeks.

Go to Tractor Supply and get a compact grain scoop (which will fit in a 5 gal bucket). Throw 1/2 - 2/3 scoop where you're going to fish. Repeat when the action slows down.

Spot on. We primarily use milo. Just add a beer if you wanna speed the process a bit.

One very important step I left out.

Not in the lid but on the side of the bucket (about an inch from the toP), drill a couple of small "breather holes"

If not, you might get a surprise at how easy that lid comes off after pressure has built up from the fermentation process. Not pretty!!

I use chicken scratch, mix in some deer corn, a busch beer and maybe a packet of yeast. I even threw some shrimp tails in mine.
It has been in the sun for 3 months, I am afraid to open it.
