f-250 a.c.problems

be going down the road and it will all of the sudden start blowing warm air.then after a period of time i will hear what sounds like a flap closing or opening and it will start cooling again.any ideas? thanks.

Check the plug connections from the controll pannel to the vent dampner under the passengers side dash first. There is a sylnoid that controlls where the flow of air comes from. It will either flow air from the heater core, a/c coil, or from an outside vent. I had the same problem in my ford and found a loose connection.
