ok i have a problem. i was trying to put on a new 7 way plug on my truck and got the wires all screwed up. there are not your standard colors. some one help me out which is what. i have black, blue, red(i think that was hot always),purple, black with orange stripe, green with red stripe, brown with pink strip. HELP !!!!!!!!!!!

Most of the time Black is Ground, Blue is Electric Brakes, Red is 12v Aux., Purple is Reverse, Black with the orange is running lights, and the other two are the blinkers.
What kind of truck is this?
Are the green w/red & brown w/pink smaller than the others?

its a 1995 dodge 2500. yes those two are smaller wires.

Did you get er figured out? The two smaller ones should be the blinkers for sure.
I just can't remember which one is which.
Best deal will be at U-haul stores. Specific for the vehicle, class III type. they'll do it at the store and you can watch. Call ahead and make sure they have your type in stock. If not, it will be there in a couple of days.

ok i almost figured it out. everything works except the running lights. when i turn on my headlights i burn out the fuse under the hood. any ideas.

i finally fixed it. its a miracle!!!!!!!! now i can wet a hook tommarow.
