I got this concerning the cleaning of fish at Fayette. Not a great sucess, but it is a start, something to build on.

Thank you for contacting the LCRA with your suggestion for a fish cleaning
station. At this time, the LCRA does not have plans to build a fish
cleaning station. However, provisions have been made for fish cleaning.

The current fish cleaning policy states:

*LCRA will expressly allow the cleaning of fish at Lake Fayette so long
as the fish waste materials are deposited in the main body of the lake and
some distance away from both park areas and other places where people may
use the shoreline. However, to ensure a clean and pleasant environment for
all park users, the LCRA will continue to prohibit the cleaning of fish at
picnic table sites, cabins, shelters, rest rooms, parking lots, and the
designated swimming area. Additionally, the trashcans and dumpsters
designated for camping and picnicking at Park Prairie and Oak Thicket parks
will continue to be off-limits for disposal of fish cleaning waste
materials.*

RPMF Inc., a private company, operates the Lake Fayette parks for the LCRA.
I have contacted the owner of the company and reminded her of the existing
policy. She has assured me she will review the policy with her employees.

Thank you again for contacting me with your suggestion. Though this does
not fully address your request for a fish cleaning station, I hope our
existing fish cleaning policy reasonably accommodates your needs. Please
contact me directly with any other problems or questions.
