I have an '06 Dodge 2500 and the headlights suck. Has anybody else noticed this and if so have you found any lights that are brighter or should I try adjusting the hieght of the light. The lights are alomost dangerous becuase they don't shine out very far and are fairly dim. They have been this way since new.

Have you had your dealer take a look at this? I have an '06 1500, same lights as the 2500, and haven't noticed this. In the past I have used Sylvania Silverstars as replacements with pretty good luck.

I have no issue with my '03, but I do know some guys who are getting HID kits.

My Dad And A Buddy Both Have The Same Truck And They Have The Same Problem. They Must Have Changed Bulbs When They Went To The Skanted Light On The 2006.

BOWED UP,

Unfortunately I know exactly what you mean. The lights on my 06 Dodge 2500 are lousy at night time. However, there is a solution to this problem, and varying degrees of fixing are available. There are three options. Thee first and least expensive is the Fogzilla, which allows you to use a 9005 bulb instead of a 9006 bulb (essentially like adding another set of headlights. The second option is the Fogster, which allows you to keep the fog lights on with the high beams. If you've ever noticed, the activation of the high beams turns off the fog lights. Third is the Brite Box, with or without foglight control (essentially the Fogster option). The Brite Box allows you to activate the headlight on both high and low beams. If you pull the headlight high beam switch back and hold it, you will notice an increase in the light output of the lights.

I can tell you from my experience, the Fogster and Fogzilla are great additions to the lighting on our trucks. These are the two options I have installed, and absolutely love the benefit. Try looking at Genos Garage, link below:

Best of luck.

Bowed Up,

There isn't really a better bulb to replace the factory bulb, unless you want to put in a blue or white bulb. However, you will be amazed at the difference the changing of the fog light bulb does for you. Give it a try and let me know. By the way, there is a good forum for the dodge truck, where I get a lot of help and input on the dodges, at:

I had the same issue on my 05. Switched to Silverstars and it was much better, but plan to put the fogzillas on it. Fogzillas allow you to use a highbeam light bulb in the foglight.
