South Texas Dive charters

Does anyone have experiance with charter boats ot of Port A/CC, Port Mansfield or SPI ? Several friends have had bad experiences with a dive boat in SPI and we are looking for options for a group trip. Probably 6-12 divers, could use 2 boats. Most just want to "go down", others will be spearfishing.

I usta dive with Ray Asbury here in matagorda before he moved away. I hear he has relocated to the corpus area but I don't have any contact info available. He ran a 37 foot midnight express and it was a nice rig to say the least. Tell ray I said hi if you see him.

My friend Capt. Rey Gonzales charters out of Port A in his 26' Sea Cat. VERY experienced spearfisherman. Probably couldnt handle 12 though. Let me know if you need his number. Sea Ya

they are the only dive shop down there that is worth anything, I have never dove with them but they will know who you should call.
