This pic is about 15y/o. My bud was on his 1st open water dive when this happened and he ain't been back since. We laugh about it now but it scared the c&@p out of us when it happened.
He was messing with his weight belt while we were decending and when he felt a little squeeze he sucked in for all he was worth. That plastered his mask hard against his face, he dumped his belt, filled the BC and was gone before either my brother or myself even knew what happened. The DM signaled us to stay with the group while he chased Ron. Few minutes later DM catches up with us & flashes the OK sign so we continue our dive. I was one of the first to surface and this is what I saw!! If I'd of had any air left I'd have submerged again just to get away from that.
After they got the rest of the group onboard we made for San Francisco beach, got within about 20-30 yards of shore and they told him "swim on in theres a cab waiting for ya!" His eye stayed like this for over 6 months.
Just stumbled across these tonight, I haven't seen them in years!
