Just noticed this but i see the Cumara has foam grip and not cork. How does the foam stuff hold up in the salt? I don't think i've EVER seen anyone using a rod w/foam grip on the Texas coast. Maybe this one is geared towards the bass fisherman. Still a sweet stick.

We use a lot of foam butt rods for salt water. They hold up just fine as long as you rinse them off. I have been using my prototype Cumara in the local bays with no issues yet. Its been 8 months now...

Wolverine, I can also vouch for the EVA holding up in the salt. Everybody used to use the foam years ago, not cork seems to be the standard.
The foam is light and very durable. If you end up getting a lot of fish slime on it it can get a little slippery at times but I've never had a big issue with it.

Every rod weighs differently depending on length and action. For example the 68MH weighs 110 grams and the 72MH weighs 119 grams.
Let me know which model you are interested in and I will get the weight for you.

Quick reference here for those that are wondering since Bantam1 puts everything in grams.
1 ounce = 28.3495231 grams

All of our specs are in grams I apologize. Technically we are on the metric system now ;)
Its easier to just use 28 grams to 1 ounce.
