What's best for my use?

I fish about 3-4 times per month and it's time for a new reel. I want to spool this new reel with 30lb power pro and try braid for the first time. I like to use a 7 foot mediun rod and I mainly use tops and tails. What would be your suggestion for my new purchase? Thanks.

Seriously though, I tried the braid again lately; the sensitivity is unbelieveable, but I'm not sure I like the zero stretch.

It comes down to how much you want to spend or what kind of performance you are looking for. We have reels from $39.99-649.99 in low profile and $79.99-499.99 in round reels.

If you have the money to spend get the Calais. The CL200A is an excellent reel with top of the line components. Its not a slightly modified version of the next lower model and the quality is amazing. I use it to throw anything that I fish with and have not been disapointed. I paired it with a 7' light action FTU green rod and it is perfectly balanced and so comfortable to fish with all day. Whatever you get, get the best that you can afford because there is nothing worst than feeling like you should have spent a little more to get a nicer reel. If you are trying to decide between the Curado and the Chronarch I would recommend getting the Curado because the are not that different and the Curado does feel really smooth. Good luck in your search for a new reel and enjoy the process becuase if you are like me you probably don't get to do it that often.

I am going to try the new Citica 100 on a Kistler 6'6" med light rod. I want a small reel that I can palm. But I ive tried braided line and don't like the zero stretch, so I'll put on some 12 lb Ande line. I change line about every three trips to the saltwater.
Good luck, but I don't you can go wrong with shimano reels or products.
