Shimano Rods - warranty

Is there any kind of warranty on Shimano rods - like one that covers the rod being in the rod holder on the kayak and your 13 year old daughter running into an obstruction, and snapping the rod into 3 pieces???http://www.2coolfishing.com/ttmbforum/images/icons/icon11.gif

Some rods are covered by a one year warranty and others are covered by a lifetime warranty. Let me know what rod model you have and I will let you know the warranty on this rod.

This was posted in a rather tongue in cheek manner. It is about 4 years, maybe 3 years old. It is a Jimmy Houston Special - 6'6" medium action.

The Jimmy Houston rods were covered by a one year warranty.
