I have a Calcutta 700 with a thread stripped on the handle bolt/shaft that someone must have overtightened. I can' keep the handle from wobbling. Is this an expensive repair? I love this reel , but can't spend alot on a repair. Any ideas?

Is the threads stripped on the main shaft or just buggered up, if just buggered , get a thread die an run it down the threads an clean them out, and use a new nut, after you do this.

I would replace the drive shaft and the nut to have the repait be worry free.

Easy fix, as Bantam1 has stated. C-clip removal to take out the old drive shaft. Re-lube the drag while you are in there. Parts should run less than $15 for shaft and new nut.

I've had that problem in the past and started putting a drop of locktite on the thread.m.
