I consider myself a fairly handy guy but when it comes to fishing reels...uhhhh...there sure is alotta parts in there. I have 2 ABU Garcia 6000 reels that I absolutely love...one of them is working great...the other is working...not so great. The one that isn't working well won't cast nearly as far as the one that is.
My question is...should I untertake trying to repair this reel myself (without knowing what's the matter with it...or what to look for)...and if so,,,is there any online info that would help me? Or...do I find someone to send it to?
Any help would be appreciated.

If you decide to work on them yourself, go to abu garcia. com, they have diagrams for your specific reel.

Repairing a reel is not all that complicated. I have a bunch of schematics that I down loaded off the internet and if I have a problem putting a reel back together I just look at the schematic. You can download schematics fromsouthwestparts.com.
