I have a couple of questions for you experienced people out there, and I think they are all going to be related.

When does the seaweed typically arrive, by that I mean the kind that gets so thick you can't even fish?

I heard someone say the reason the fishing was slow last weekend was a bunch of seaweed off of the coast, does this mean that the fish won't return until the weed comes in? If not, what could have been the cause for the fishing just to turn off like that all of a sudden?

There are fish in the water everyday. Weed or no weed. When the grass comes in you will be lucky to keep a long line out 10 minutes. Plus it makes the beach stink of dead sea life. Last week beach "SS access #5" was as clean as I've seen it in a while.

I think last weekends skunk had alot to do witht he fact that we had very high pressure sitting over us. Combine that with alot of fresh water run off and you dont exactly have primo fishing conditions. Just because the surf is calm does not mean the fish will be jumping on the beach.

I went offshore out of Freeport and came across 2 Huge weedlines. They were about 18 miles out. Each one was about a mile long. Sooo I think we should be getting the weed on the beaches soon. Adios, -KRIS-

I was down last Sunday. Water was good. The one thing I noticed was there wasn't alot of bait fish in the water, Mullet. I didn't see one jump the whole day nor did I see them when I was wading out to cast my rods. We did catch some whiting on Fishbites. Did I mention they were old Fishbites but they still catch fish.
