Did anyone catch the fishing report in the Houston Chronical today? Says trotlinging at Fayette is good for channels and blues using shad and shrimp. I thought trotlines were illegal on Fayette.

You are correct. Trotlines are illegal on Fayette. You can use juglines or throwlines, though. Also, blues are few and far between due to the warm water temp. Sounds like a BS report...

From what I understand, at some point, that lake got to hot for the blues. Have heard the hot water just about wiped out the crappie population too.

Yeah a BS report for sure...no trotlines on Fayette. As far as Blue Cats? I guess I have caught as many catfish out of Fayette as anyone around, I've Never caught one...It makes you wonder who writes the fishing reports at times...I check the Texas Parks and Wildlife reports at times just to get a laugh... they are almost always off... or at least a month too late.
