I got a call from Tarpon Tom, and he just got back from a couple of weeks in Angola. If memory serves, he told me the final tally was 18 fish, and 2 over 200, the largest about 240#. I'll see if I can get him to post some pics.
Congrats Tom!

Yeah, Tom was still on a good roll. He really likes it over there.

Do people really like it there? I expect to move there next year and live there for about 12-18 months. I think I will be living in Luanda. Right now, I am not too happy about it, but I guess if I can wet a hook it might not be that bad. I wish I could get my Mako over there, I am sure it would be perfect.
BTW, how do the ladies look????

I am not planning on it, but you never know. That sweltering heat and repetitive use of Malaria tablets might distort my judgement.
If I'm lucky, maybe I can return to Houston in a few years with a Brazilian wife and a hot little Angolan maid. Tell me I wouldn't be the envy of all the miserable saps living in the Houston surburbs that have to spend $200/week to have the house cleaned because their high-maintenence wives are too busy spending money at the mall and too proud to clean!!!
(OMG, did I just go there???)
