The bulkhead bite has started on Livingston. As usual it is best during the early morning as the bite gets started, then it is pretty much an all day affair once the bite gets going good. A report on my hotline says that an angler at Wolf Creek Park today started at noon and left at 4:00 with about a dozen ranging in size from 6 to 10 lbs. The fellow said that if he started in the early morning he feels he would have done better. I’ll be there at Wolf Creek early in the morning, the angler today said he was using a 3 oz weight and casting as far as he could. Early those cats will be up close and then move out away from the bank as the day wears on.

We battled the rain, lightning, and high winds to sling some shad from the bulkhead at Wolf Creek Park this morning. We had to retreat to the truck twice and had a couple of false starts before getting some rods out. They were bitting right off and we both decked 4 nice ones before the action slowed down. We might go back in the morning.

We will be there at 8:00AM when the park opens, go around to the right and past the marina where it says pinic area. White dodge 1500, and lots of rods out.

Met up with Shadslinger this morning @ Wolf Creek. That park is a very nice park. Set out 4 rods with fresh shad on em. Did manage to get two bites early. From what Shad told me, it was on and often yesterday early in the morning. Different story today though, but then again sometime it's like that. Another gentleman did manage to get 4 blues and a few channels. As always, Shad didn't let me go home empty handed. Maybe next time.

BBQ with the family while I watched the rods. For those who haven't been to this park, it is very nice and clean. Has everything from a grocery store, basketball court, park and playground, restrooms, and even a place to clean fish. Will definitely come back again.
