Hill Country Fishin

I had the pleasure of fishing with some great company this weekend.
Friday Am trip is Charlie Brown (aka Jig Head TFF) and his buddy Geoff of BoerneTX. White Caps and harsh harsh harsh winds made fishing challenging to say the least. We caught a bunch of dinks but found the fish stacked up on a extremely wind blown point that we just could not stay in position. Had two anchors out and using the trolling motor on high and still couldn't keep us from almost beaching the boat , no matter how far out I tried, anchors just would not hold. Frustrating thing.... , find the fish and get the pattern down but can't safely stay on them. that's fishing sometimes but it can be a hard pill to swallow sometimes. Luckily Charlie and Geoff are great guys and we accepted the morning trying to the end and learned in the process. I had a great time meeting Geoff and fishing with Charlie. Always good company with Charles. All fish were caught in about 2-3 ft of water with either DK'S or shad. Thanks Charlie and Geoff, I truly appreciated it.

In the Afternoon the wind laid and I was able to get and stay on em. Charles and Tom Dewey of Uiversal City , put the hurting on the fish. Ended up with a 50 fish limit up tp 6pds all on DK's.
It was lights out fishing, but before our depature I briefed them on the morning trip's rough conditions and we decided to head out and give it a whirl anyways. Glad we did! Caught a good amount of quality channels and had a blast with these two gents as always.

These two were a blast to fish with this morning , catching a nice mess of fish from 800-1130 am before heading in early so they could enjoy some fresh fish before they headed back to Lubbock.
I really enjoyed watching these to compete and reeling themm in. A fun morning to say the least. All fish caught on DK's Blood in a foot or two of water (spawning)
