Anybody have any tips on how to catch them? There use to be a fish grinder where we would send some stuff through and then catch em in a net. They tore down the whole dock a few months back though. Dont know what to do now.
At night under lights, with a big net. They can be real tough to come by on Conroe, but I sure do love it when we get em - big fish.

Sometimes when fishing under the 1097 bridge, we put range cubes in a fish basket and tie it to the boat so it hangs 2-3 feet deep. The bream will get really thick in there and sometimes the big shad will also. We just shake the basket to get them worked up then throw the castnet. i usually don't fish under the bridge until May/June so I don't know if it would work this time of year.
