Awesome trip. Apparently, Medulla just about can't function without a stogie anymore. LOL! I hate that I had to miss that one. I'm jonesing for a good Conroe trip!!

Nice pics. Its wierd how some nights they are just ON. I havent been able to narrow down what the best nights are though. Our biggest from last summer was 29lbs from TB. I hope to beat that this year but I dont think our fish get as big as conroes.

Ya know, I don't really notice a difference in most nights to be real honest. What was special about Friday night was that we caught our limits of hybrids, which is very unusual since we don't fish for them, Joe caught his biggest rod and reel cat, and we had three jugs in a row with fish over 20. It's pretty normal to get our catfish limits if we put any effort into it.

If I was fishing Bend, I'd be fishing for Ops. You got a chance at a much bigger fish doing that, and good eating to boot. Conroe has a few, but doesn't have the structure that Bend does. I think I've only caught one op there. We'll top 33 pretty soon though on the blues... the number that seems hard to break is 50. I've seen several over 40, but no blues over 50.

It was me and another bud of Joe's that got him started, prolly not for his own good. I've been backing off em now, since work wants extra $ to insure tobacco users... like a pack a day cig smoker is the same as a once a week cigar smoker. I pretty much only smoke em now if I'm sittin around a campfire shootin the bull, though I still like em that's for sure.
