I am not going to build a Custom rod, However I would like to know where I can Buy some of the Foam rubber That is put on the handels of fishing rods. I have two wading nets that the cork handle has broken and come loose. I would like to replace it with the foam rubber material. Please Help.

I dont know where you are located tooman but here in houston you can got to fishing tackle unlimited/ cut-rate and get what you need to do the job,but if not mudhole is a good source over the i-net.

I would recommend the hypalon, stonger and stiffer. Great stuff. Just built a tuna rod with it.

Hypalon is the way to go......mudhole is the place. That's if your not going to buy a " Billy Stix Custom Rod"

on a popping rod cork is the way to go as eva is light but holds up like poop, but you have to use top grade cork not the low end stuff. For a offshore or surf rod hypalon is the way to go tough but heavier.
