If you buy your kits from one company and then buy some from another company. Like if you have some from woodturningz then get some from woodcraft DON"T MIX THE PARTS. I messed up 4 pens yesterday because of this. The parts look the same but there is a small difference in the size of the tubes and small parts.

How many and what caliber do you need Jim. I have some spent .270, 30.06 and .308 at the house. I can even tumble them them and make 'em shine for you.

I also learned sumthin yesterday. Bill, my instructor, told me to always check the parts in the pen kits in their little plastic bags before buying. Been buying from Rockler and all has been well, but was out near Woodcraft yesterday so dropped in to see what it was like. Bought 8 slimline 7 mm kits..Got home and started assembling...one kit didn't have the nib in it...another didn't have the pocket clip...Guess Bill knew what he was talking about. Some of the kits even had bushings, rings, etc..that had nothing to do with the kit..

GB/Jim...if you would like to try some shell casings, PM me with an address and I will send you a dozen like I am sending Bobby in the am. These are new unprimed casings..forget the caliber right now..but they fit the nibs on 7mm kits VERY tight. I use my vise to shove them in...but they ain't going nowhere once installed..

Last thought...Bill (my teacher) thinks very highly of you and your skills,Jim..Just thought I'd pass that on..Nice to have friends like that...

Lemme know on the cartridges..

Sound like a plan to me..In am, care packages will be going out to Jim/GB, Bobby, and Bill...... Bobby and Bill...need your mailing addresses in PM if you want..Bobby, I lost yours in my frenzy to rip open the bag you sent me with my antler pen in it..You are one heck of a packer...LOL...

Dang..I believe I'm gonna git rid of half of them dang casings I had to buy..They only come in bags of 50...and really don't cost much, but waste is sumthin I can't stand.

Standing by for names and addresses.

LOL, Jim..might as well just send you my whole GPS since the Tortuga is history.. Really not too many 'hot spots' in her however...mainly just how to not run up on that particular reef AGAIN....lol

All kidding (?) aside...they really are invaluable..Don't see how anyone could navigate West Bay without one and that was my main stomping grounds. Do have a nice unused naked mermaid boat fender as a house-warming present for your new rig...LOL.the other three 'dissapeared' down at Teakwood....
