I went there last Sat, but caught only 3 white. What do you guy think about fishing down there this weekend? Did anyone fish there recently?

Thanks!

I went last Sunday and ended up with 8among 3 people. Fishing was real slow. Everyone I saw had 1 or 2 each. Not any good stringers that I saw. But from what I hear you have to fish where your average fisherman wont fish, such as in awkward positions, different places because those holes will not be fished. Plus I think with the gate open, the fishing pressure is heavier than usual. I think best time to fish is during the weekend. But as for this weekend, it should be good, since we will have nice weather. But like last weekend, it will be crowded. Just remember to work your jigs real slow and drag the bottom. When its cold, the lay on the bottom and the bites are very light. Good luck and lets here a report.

I fished a week ago and caught 22 (buddy caught 15). I then went this Sat and caught only 8 (my buddy got 1). I went Sunday (only bc I had to travel to Houston and its on the way) and ended up w/ only 3. FYI....both Sat & Sun combined I did not see a single person w/ a fish on a stringer other than myself. People were amazed that I had 8 on sat.....water was about 12-15 inches lower than it was a week ago as well........

Went up the creek in the boat on saturday and caught 45 between 2 of us and 6 big crappie. we found them on the depth finder stacked up in one spot. Thats where we did all our damage. We didn't relly do all that great anywhere else the water temp was around 45 so it was a catch em where you find em kind of trip.

Sounds like a great trip. With the weathr starting to warm up, all we need is one good rain to get water level up and the run will officially begin. How far up the creek did u go?
