Good catfishing place in San Marcos

I grew up fishing the rivers of eas Texas for catfish. I was further spoiled by the catfishing on Sam Rayburn lake as a youth over 30 years ago. Now I fish the coast on a (not to be mentioned) tourney trail, BUT, if you had to fish for catfish in San Marcos, one choice, where would you go and what would you use??? 3 months and not ONE catfish to be found! I'm dying here!!

Sam Marcos River and I would use fresh chicken livers . I grew up fishing the San Marcos around Prairie Lea, Stairtown, Fentress and the Luling area.

Thanks Cc. I'll give that a shot. They are thick down at Braunig right now. The blues are tailing in 2' of water, LOL.
