I used to catch Crappie here a long time ago whith my grandfather. I havent fished there in a couple of years but my cousion does often and he said that there arent many if any at all anymore. He told me that when they restocked Crappie years ago instead of putting them where they could hide from the other predators they dumped them in the middle of the lake. If there is Crappie still being caught I would love to know myself. Hope this helped you and I hope its not true in that there are still Crappie in this lake cause it would be a great lake for them.

stonedawg is right, there used to be crappie in Fayette but there arent any more. I bet stonedawg will tell also that all the crappie thay used to catch were BIG!! Never any smaller ones. Bass LOVE crappie so either the bass ate all the fry and not enough survived to sustain the population or the water temp had something to do with it. I'm not real sure about the water temp excuse because other power plant lakes have crappie. I haven't seen anyone or myself actually catch a crappie in a very, very long time. If there is any in there I think I would have caught at least one out of there as much as I fish it.
Now perch is a different story!! There are some HOSS redears in this lake!!
