1/8 or 1/4 jighead with Panfish Assassins in the chartreuse and pearl white curly tails works best for me. Now I have seen A lot of fish caught in the yellow curly tail but can't find any. Probably run up to Bass Pro Shop and see if they have any there.

Gene Larew 1.5" chartreuse quiver tail minnow with 1/8 or 1/4 jighead, also the little TTF yellowish/lime shrimp tails with imbedded glitter.
Both are found at Gander Mtn I-45 north, yellow & chartreuse curly tails are there as well.

1/8 oz red H&H jig heads (the small round ones) with Pearl White or the white/clear/glitter Bass Assassin 2 inch curly tail grubs.

I have and use all of the above, but my absolute favorite is a Bandit crank bait. I fish a creek above Trinity, and we do a good bit of trolling when things are slow. It floats, so if another lure gets snagged, it will float to the top and is ready to go once things are straightened out. It has a real tight wiggle that the whites love. I use white with a chartruce belly and chrome/blue. I also like to use the small spin traps when they are holding in swifter water.
