Highlands Resevior

Has anyone tried Highlands Resevior for white bass, yellow perch, or crappie this year? The run should be starting, and the fishing is usually pretty good this time of the year.

I went last week. Only went for a little while, got 2 male white bass about 11" each. It was still a bit slow, I guess waters still a bit cold. Got them in canal near East Canal st. Stonedawg..it off of Wallisville road in Highlands, east part of town. Bank fishing only. rvj..I just started fishing there..can you recommend any good spot for catfish and whites? How about the outflow canal near Sralla road..is that a good spot?

That same spot that you are speaking of is a good location. Might just be a little early. Some will walk along the canal to where it runs into the resevior. others fish the east side of the resevior. Just take wade road north to its end. If there are alot of cars park on the side of the road there biting... Good luck, and post any reports.
