Fished some sloughs off the Angelina this morning with my son. I am not too familiar with that area but so far have been quite impressed by the avg. size of the white bass. We mainly caught females with one rogue Crappie that hit the ice chest. BTW, that Crappie is the biggest crappie I have ever caught!! That made my trip. All fish were caught on Road Runner (1/4 ounce) with a chartruese tail.

You might check on water quality where you catch Angelina white bass. If you go up in some black water streams they are heavy with Pulpwood chemical runoff.
