i'm thinking about heading down to conroe tomorrow after class and was just wondering if anyone has done any good in the boat docks around there. i know the weather conditions aren't ideal, but i haven't been fishing since deer season started.

never made it over there yesterday. i got out of class and it was about 45 degrees and misting rain. fried crappie sounds good, but not that good. it's probably going to be monday or tuesday before i can get down there.

well folks, i finally got a chance to go fishing down at conroe. kinda slow, but i did end up bringing home four crappie. they were caught in boat docks between 7 and 10 feet deep on black/chartruse jigs and minnows. i figure by the end of the week, they should be biting pretty good.

i've been fishing the docks at Walden for the last few years(you need a key to get in the gate), but i think that just about all of the docks should be holding fish this time of year. you might want to try stow-a-way marina at the north end of the lake, i've always done pretty well there in the past.
