Went up a feeder creek of the Trinity this morning, all the way to the first shoals. Nothing but yellow bass up there, so I kept a close eye on the sonar and worked my way down stream untill I could see what I figured to be good schools of whites in 14' holes, the channel was mostly 9' to 10'.
They were there and after switching a few times I found the lure that they were hungry for. Small Little Georges, trolled as slow as I could go, and I still had to stop and let them drop to the bottom and let the wind push the boat slow. I had 2 rods out and each pass over the hole one would always hook up. So it didn't take long before I had 25 river hogs, they were nice white bass. I gave the smaller ones to some guys who were at the ramp loading up a Bass Buggy boat and who had struck out. I keep a few that were 15" for dinner this week.
Cold wind, but down in the creek sheltered by the trees it wasn't too bad. The whites were a lot fun. They should be up there for a while.

I went up white rock, found the whites around Tantabeau.
