View Full Version : Reimers ranch
Anyone on here fish Reimers ranch in Austin for white bass? I have to take a trip to Austin this weekend and was thinking about going there. I have never been and was hoping to get some inside info before I head that way.
Thanks!

Not sure if you know or not but reimers ranch was bought by Travis parks service. You might want to call ahead of time to check if there is water there yet. With the drought we had and the rain we just recieved not sure of the level. Plus I think it is still a little to early for them to start running here.

You might be able to find some up to minute info on Reimers at the Texas Fishing Forum site under the Whites/Stripers/Hybrids page.

Lake Travis is almost 40 feet down. There's no fishable water within miles of Reimer's right now. Colrado Bend would be a better option now, or the San Gabriel above lake Georgetown.
Thanks for the help guys!

I would call Reimers Ranch to check fishing report. I heard there are some "pools" or holes that have some fish in them...However, it is a rumor....I would call first!

My brother went out there sunday afternoon and said it was pitiful. Very little water and said he didn't even see a minnow. I hope we get some serious rain soon or the highland lakes are going to be hurtin. I have no access to launch my boat anywhere right now to get to where I now to find the whites.
